Future supermakers of girl's cars

Having just spent a couple of days in Dongdaemun, Seoul's undisputed
shopping capital, I've come to the conclusion that Korean automakers
Kia and Hyundai should specialise in girl's cars.

Dongdaemun has over 20 shopping malls – some small in size, a few medium, most of
them large. At least half of the complexes open for 24 hours, and
collectively they offer thousands of shops, selling anything and
everything imaginable for the fashion-conscious girl shopper, even in the middle of the
night. The shoe designs alone are enough to boggle the mind and bog
down the poor guy accompanying his girlfriend/missus/mistress on her
forays deep inside Dongdaemun for hours on end. Far East Plaza is a
mere 1% of Dongdaemun in dimensions and dynamism, the Bugis Junction
area maybe 2%.

Guys can also do a spot of shopping in
Dongdaemun, but it appears to me that the place only has gay sizes
(i.e. S and XS) and a grand total of 10 outlets for men, including
public toilets.

If the South Koreans can create such a
spectacular shopping phenomenon for women, surely they can also make
girl's cars that sell like hot kimchi. Effortlessly stylish, colourful
without being gaudy, and loved by gals every bit as much as they're
hated by guys, these chick rides will be the epitome of girl power on
the road. There'll be a whole range of Korean cars specially designed
for ladies, from fashionable little runabouts to hard sports cars with
the soft touch of a woman.

An automotive Dongdaemun is in the making, and godspeed.
