New Game Of Golf

If the GTI Mark 6 is the king of hot hatches today, then the Golf R is the, erm, king kong. But having just driven the new go-fast Golf with extra balls (geddit?), I have to say that the new VW's kingness is underwhelming. Not because the Golf R isn't any good (it's great fun in fact), but because the current GTI is so capable and so complete that its R big brother struggles to offer a significantly more shiok driving experience, especially for an estimated 15 percent more in price.
