Parking Stupid
David Ting

Many of Singapore's multi-storey and basement carparks are designed by a) people who don't drive at all, or b) people who drive but don't know what's going on, or c) aliens from outer space who happen to be architects.

How else do you explain the impossible corners, ridiculous ramps, poorly placed pillars and pathetic little lots of the worst carparks out there? I've seen kerbs whose size, position and orientation do their best to, well, kerb your wheels. I've also seen walls, bollards and railings on standby to scratch or smash your bodywork.

So the next time you're parking your car in a terribly designed carpark, remember to "check surroundings for safety".
