Shattered...

December 2008 wasn't a good month for Honda, one of my all-time favourite automakers. They dropped the bombshell that they will quit Formula One with immediate effect and that they have axed the next NSX (it rhymes), then bizarrely enough, the very next day I spotted a blue NSX (probably a Type S auto, rare run-out model) on Tanglin Road.

It gets worse for this Honda fan. My well-used Honda-branded CashCard, with cool "The Power of Dreams" text and a sporty checkered-flag pattern (albeit pretty faded), expires in two days' time (it was issued way back in January 2004). And the shiny Honda sunshade that I've been using faithfully (in my Suzuki) for almost five years is near total collapse, so I have to replace it soon with something newer and sturdier, and the only car sunshade in my storeroom now is from Opel.

So Honda quits F1, loses a CashCard and suffers a destroyed sunshade, but never mind. Because Honda will always have a Civic Type R, past and present, deep inside my heart. B16B wan sui!
