Year-ends always bring about mixed feelings. Amidst all the merry-making and festive frenzy, there is also a sense of nostalgia looking back on the past year, with a dash of anticipation for the coming year thrown in. Like coffee, every individual has their own unique blend of feelings depending on how the year went for them- some more full-bodied and aromatic, others with slightly more acidity and maybe a lingering finish. But regardless, we all have our own cuppa to brew and it is what we make of it.
2009 has been a great year. It was a year filled with travels that took me to new places, introduced me to new experiences, and opened my eyes to new things. It was a year where new friendships were forged and old ties matured. It was a year where new and exciting opportunities were discovered and explored. Despite the economic doom and gloom, car makers persevered and we had no lack of cars worth singing our praises over. I am delighted with, and am in absolute agreement with the results of The Straits Times Car of the Year. I think the top three finishers deserve their spots, totally.
I am sure 2010 will be a year to look forward to. Cheers!
