Spanish actor Antonio Banderas (inset) has landed the plum role of Ferruccio Lamborghini in the high-octane biopic, which is based on the biography written by Ferruccio’s son, Tonino.
The film, whose working title is Lamborghini – The Legend, will tell the story of the self-made Italian businessman who loved fast cars, moved up from manufacturing tractors to making grand tourers and eventually created “raging bull” supercars to rival Ferraris.
Speaking of which, starring opposite the protagonist in the movie is Alec Baldwin, who will play Enzo Ferrari.
