The 911, for instance, not only rules the road, but the hearts and minds of many enthusiasts, too.
There were skeptics when Porsche announced its intention to build the Cayenne, but this SUV has since silenced them by proving that it is possible to have off-road ability without compromising on-road dynamics.
With this SUV engineering experience under its belt, it’s no surprise that Porsche was able to imbue the Macan with the same qualities as its larger sibling.
Enhancing the appeal of these models are the Premium Option Packages that come with no extra costs on a select number of units.
911 models equipped with the Premium Option Package have tinted LED taillights, SportDesign exterior mirrors, Porsche Entry & Drive for added convenience, and a Sports Exhaust System for heightened emotion. Specified as options, these features would cost $19,415.
For the Cayenne, the Premium Option Package also adds tinted LED taillights and a Sports Exhaust System. But more significantly, it comes with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as well. Said function continually adjusts the damping for each wheel, leading to improved comfort and handling. These options normally cost $19,077.
Macans that come with the Premium Option Package are equipped with tinted LED taillights, a Sports Exhaust System and a Sport Chrono Package. The latter heightens the Macan’s athleticism by adding a Sport Plus mode. When activated, Sport Plus further raises the engine’s responsiveness and shortens the gearbox’s shift times.
The Sport Chrono Package also adds an analogue clock with digital readouts on the dashboard, and lets you view a range of driving stats via the Porsche Communication Management system. Combined, these options cost $15,981.
The selected 911, Cayenne and Macan units aren’t just compelling, they’re downright tempting, too. If desired, buyers can opt for a special financing rate of 1.99 percent instead of a Premium Option Package.
