Small enough (20.6cm x 17.6cm x 7.3cm) to be installed virtually anywhere in a car, the 3M Vehicle Air Purifier Plus is claimed to combine multiple proprietary filtration technologies to remove up to 99% of pollutants and airborne particles such as dirt, pollen, and smoke, which can be detrimental to the health of people on board.
Made of permanently charged polymer fibers, the first layer of the filter attracts and captures hair and larger particles, while the second layer traps unwanted micro-particles like PM2.5 particles. Odours from food and sweat, and harmful compounds, are also removed from the air inside the car as they pass through the latter layers. Activated carbon in the filter effectively removes odours that could otherwise linger in the car for days.
The 3M Vehicle Air Purifier Plus is also equipped with a smart sensor panel that automatically adjusts the purification rate based on the air quality within the car. For optimal use, the filter replacement indicator reminds the user when it is time to change the filter cartridge.
Currently available in black, the 3M Vehicle Air Purifier Plus retails at $299 and is sold at official 3M E-stores at Lazada.sg and Qoo10.sg. One set of filters is included with the device.
