ORA Good Cat 03.
EV buyers in the market for an electric hatchback now have the funky ORA Good Cat to consider.
The Good Cat 03 was officially introduced during the opening of the Great Wall Motors (GWM) showroom located at 239 Alexandra Road. GWM is the parent company of the ORA brand, an acronym that stands for Open, Reliable and Alternative.
Penned by former Porsche designer Emanuel Derta, the Good Cat measures 4,235mm long, 1,825mm wide and has a wheelbase length of 2,650mm, making it similar in size to a Volkswagen Golf.
Currently priced at $161,999, the Good Cat 03 is a Cat A COE model. Its electric motor delivers 141bhp and 210Nm, which enable the Good Cat to go from rest to 100km/h in 11 seconds. Top speed is 150km/h.
Powered by a 63kWh battery, the electric hatchback has a driving range of 420km, and a claimed efficiency of 6km per kWh.
Performance aside, the Good Cat is equipped with a long list of standard safety features. These include six airbags, Intelligent Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning with Brake Assist, Intelligent Evade and Lane Departure Warning.
Assistance features include 360-degree view cameras with Transparent Chassis, and Auto Parking Assist, which can take over parking duties for reverse and parallel parking manoeuvres. The system can even deal with parking spaces that are angled up to 10 degrees.
The Good Cat’s cabin is equipped with standard features such as electrically adjustable front seats with ventilation and massage functions, a wireless smartphone charger, panoramic sunroof, and a 10.25-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay.
