Audi has revised the SQ2 with a sportier and more striking design, as well as new Audi connect services and driver assistance systems.
AUDI SQ2: STRONG ANGLES AND EDGES
Mirroring the refresh to the Audi Q2, the SQ2 now sports a lowered Singleframe grille. Narrow slits also now rest between the grille and the hood. Wide frames painted in selenite silver surround the large implied air inlets.
The side of the Audi SQ2 sports aluminum-look mirror housings, strips along the sills, a roof edge spoiler, and the silver blades on the C-pillar.
The rear bumper has also been redesigned, with the two tailpipes each framed by the diffuser insert.
The rear bumper of the SQ2 has been redesigned to mirror the blacked-out intakes on the front.
LED headlights and tail-lights are now standard. Also available as an option are Matrix LED headlights, which will deliver dynamic turn signals and play a light sequence when the car is locked and unlocked.
DRIVETRAIN
The Audi SQ2 utilises a turbocharged 2-litre 4-cylinder paired with a 7-speed S tronic gearbox. In this application, it delivers 296bhp (300PS) and 400Nm of torque from 2000rpm to 5300rpm.
The engine utilises the Audi valvelift system, which switches the stroke of the outlet valves between two levels as needed in order to deliver agile response and powerful torque build-up.
DYNAMIC ABILITIES
Standard S Sport suspension on the Audi SQ2 sees its ride height lowered by 20mm. A progressive steering setup will also ensure agility when maneuvering in urban traffic and through tight turns.
Turbocharged 2-litre engine is paired with a 7-speed S tronic gearbox and quattro all-wheel-drive.
Large brakes with diameter of 340mm at the front axle and 310mm at the rear axle are held by calipers that feature S badges and painted red as an option.
CONNECTIVITY
The range-topping infotainment system in the Audi SQ2 features Audi connect services with LTE plus speed on board, and a Wi-Fi hotspot to integrate the passengers’ mobile devices.
Audi connect remote and control will also allow the owner to lock the vehicle remotely or check the fuel level, among other functions.
Audi’s pre sense front safety system as standard on the SQ2, along with adaptive cruise assist. Audi’s park assist system will also be offered as an option.
