The updated Volkswagen Golf SV is now available in Singapore.
Targeting buyers seeking a “Golf with more space”, the SV is a five-seater compact MPV (multi-purpose vehicle).
This model is more spacious than its hatchback sibling, thanks to its longer overall length (+93mm), wheelbase (+50mm) and height (+121mm).
The latest Golf SV boasts more features than the previous model. Available infotainment units include the Composition Media and Discover Pro systems, which have 8-inch and 9.2-inch screens respectively.
Volkswagen has also enhanced the SV’s overall safety, with new features such as a Blind Spot Sensor and Rear Traffic Alert, which can autonomously brake the car to prevent a collision or at least reduce the impact.
The SV continues to offer relatively good practicality in its segment, with a 500 litre boot that expands to 1520 litres with the rear seats folded.

The boot offers 500 litres of space with the rear seats up.
Both models are powered by the same turbocharged 1.4-litre 4-cylinder engine that delivers 123hp and 200Nm of torque.
Volkswagen claims the Golf SV has a combined consumption figure of 18.2km/L and a 0-100km/h time of 9.9 seconds.

There’s 1520 litres of storage space with the rear seats folded.
The Golf SV is available in Comfortline and Highline variants, with prices starting from $125,400 (including COE).
