2017 marks a decade of the automaker’s presence in Singapore as the sole importer and retailer of the Volkswagen brand. Volkswagen remains the only car brand in Singapore to manage its retail business directly.
The brand’s success in the past 10 years demonstrates the significance of building trust and long-lasting relationships with customers, based on the Volkswagen Group’s vision of a car for everyone, and an answer for every need.
The direct dealership format means that customer feedback is regularly reviewed, and solutions are customised to their needs. This ensures that customers enjoy a great experience, both with the products and aftersales.
From 1 April 2017, Volkswagen owners will enjoy comprehensive warranty coverage for five years (subject to a mileage cap of 100,000km) and free servicing in the first three years (subject to a mileage cap of 45,000km). The five-year warranty demonstrates the commitment from Volkswagen Group Singapore to make the customer ownership journey a seamless one.
The five-year warranty programme was launched at the brand’s anniversary celebrations on 31 March 2017. Owners with Volkswagen vehicles aged less than 36 months and with a mileage of less than 100,000km can upgrade to the five-year warranty programme for a nominal fee.

During the anniversary event, Volkswagen Group Singapore also announced that it will report to Porsche Holding Salzburg (PHS) with effect from 1 April 2017.
PHS is a 100%-owned retail arm of Volkswagen AG, contributing its decades of know-how in automotive retail to the Volkswagen Group globally. PHS will strengthen Volkswagen Group Singapore for greater success in the Singapore market through better efficiency, quality service, workflow and processes.
